Lost and Found Dogs

Information about our lost dogs service, stray dogs and dogs needing new homes.

If you have lost or found a dog in Aldershot or Farnborough please call our dog line on 01252 398 166 (open Monday - Thursday 8.30am-5pm, Friday 8.30am-4.30pm).

If you find a dog outside of these hours (or on bank holidays) please call 01252 398 399.

Stray dogs

We will pick up any dog found straying.  Where it is possible to immediately identify ownership, the dog will be returned.

In all other cases the dog will be registered and then taken to kennels.  A dog owner has up to seven working days to claim back their pet.  Before the dog can be returned the owner will have to pay a fixed fee, plus the kennelling costs incurred.

Any dog that is not claimed within seven working days will be rehomed or passed on to an appropriate rescue organisation.  Every effort is made to find new homes for unclaimed strays, regardless of age and animals will only be put to sleep on our vets advice.

Rehoming dogs

Anyone looking to rehome a dog will be subject to a home check and will also have to pay a fee of £60 to rehome the dog. This will include the cost of the dog being microchipped.

It will be the new owners responsibility to get the dog vaccinated and castrated / spayed.
