By way of background, the Rushmoor Plan is Rushmoor's 'Local Development Framework (LDF)'. An LDF is the set of development plans influencing the future of a local area. Rushmoor Borough Council is producing the plans affecting Aldershot and Farnborough in consultation with the community and other key stakeholders.

Evidence Base and Background Studies
The following background studies have been produced to provide an evidence base for the Local Development Framework (LDF).

Rushmoor Core Strategy
Rushmoor's Core Strategy Development Plan Document will set out the long term vision and overarching policies for the Borough, to cover the period to 2027.

Farnborough Airport Area Action Plan
The Council is updating its plans for Farnborough Airport and the surrounding areas to help provide long-term certainty to residents and businesses, the airport operators and airport users, to cover the period to 2027.

SPDs - Supplementary Planning Documents
SPDs are documents that provide policy guidance on a wide range of issues to supplement the policies and proposals on the Rushmoor Plan.

Programme Management for the Rushmoor Plan
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is the three-year project plan for the Local Development Framework (LDF), the Rushmoor Plan.

How do we consult on the Local Development Framework?

AMR - Annual Monitoring Report
An Annual Monitoring Report will be used to assess progress on the delivery of the LDF and to review policy effectiveness.

How do we assess the 'sustainability' of our plans?
We must assess the policies and proposals in the Rushmoor Plan to ensure that they contribute to the aims of sustainable development.

What about planning for minerals and waste?
Minerals and waste planning is addressed through Hampshire's Minerals and Waste Development Framework.
