Royal Logistics Corps MuseumThe Royal Logistics Corps Museum was built especially in 1995 to house the large collections amassed by the Trustees of the constituent Corps. The Museum includes a large display area, lecture room and seating areas.The Royal Logistics Corps was formed on 5 April 1993, amalgamating the Royal Corps of Transport, Royal Army Ordnance Corps, Royal Pioneer Corps, Army Catering Corps and the Postal and Courier Service (Royal Engineers). The museum was built especially in 1995 to house the large collections amassed by the Trustees of the constituent Corps. ![]() An army marches on its stomach - but not only had they to be fed, they also had to be kept in touch with their loved ones. See how they cooked under trying circumstances and how the Postal Services provided a link with home. Many of the technical developments in clothing, ammunition, rations, transport and communications which accompany the story of logistics are explored. The visitor can examine how over the last 500 years the soldier has been transported and supplied with arms and equipment. The museum maintains a large archive and photographic collection.
