St. Peter's Church

The Old Parish Church of Farnborough in Hampshire.

Earliest History
Farnborough parish, part of Crondall Hundred, was bequeathed by Alfred the Great, King of Wessex, to his nephew Ethelm in 901, though later in the 10th century, the manor was held by the Bishop and monks at Winchester.

After the Arrival of the Military Camp
After 1854, when the Aldershot Military Camp was started and barracks were built at North Camp, the population of Farnborough increased rapidly.
