Street parties are a great way to bring a sense of community to your local area.
A street party doesn't need to be complicated. If you don't want to organise a big event, you could hold a party in your garden or driveway.
Organise a street party
If you're thinking about organising a small street party, we want to make it as easy as possible for you.
Please complete our Community events application form [76kb] and post it back to us. We will look at your application and get back to you within ten working days.
If you need public liability insurance for your event, we may be able to help cover the costs (up to £75). We will let you know if you qualify.
We normally need eight weeks to process a street party application.

Top tips for a successful street party
As long as you're not selling food or alcohol and your party is a private, free event you don't need a licence.
