Background evidence on transport

Transport studies that provide evidence for the Rushmoor Plan.

Transport assessment position statement 2017

With our consultants, Systra, we have consulted with Hampshire County Council, as the local highway authority and as part of the duty to co-operate, on the preparation of a strategic level transport assessment. The purpose of the transport assessment is to inform and guide both the draft Local Plan and the supporting infrastructure plan. This statement outlines the agreed position between both authorities as at June 2017 to inform the examination process.

East of Aldershot study 2011

We commissioned this study jointly with Hampshire County Council.  It provides background information on how the increased traffic from the Aldershot Urban Extension could be mitigated.

The East of Aldershot study makes no recommendations about where highway improvements will be required and is not a consultation document.  Its purpose is to consider the feasibility of options that include forming a new access onto the A331 and improvements to Lynchford Road.  The study also includes potential uses for Hollybush Lane and the existing impact of HGV movements on North Lane.
