We offer a range of help for homeowners to repair and improve their homes.
Grants
Repairs and maintenance grant - up to £7500
We can offer a discretionary grant of up to £7500 to pay for repairs considered essential under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) . You can apply for this grant if:
- You earn less than £15,050 a year
- You are on an income-related benefit. This means Income Support, Guarantee Pension Credit, council tax support, housing benefit or Working Tax Credit.
Home security grant - up to £3000
You can apply for a discretionary home security grant if:
- A Crime Prevention Officer has referred you to us
- You are aged 60 or over
- You are on an income-related benefit. This means Income Support, Guarantee Pension Credit, council tax support, housing benefit or Working Tax Credit
Home security grant (domestic violence) - up to £3000
We can offer a grant of up to £3000 to provide a 'safe room' or other home security work to help protect victims of domestic violence.
Energy efficiency grant - up to £5000
You can apply for a discretionary energy efficiency grant if:
- You have been an owner occupier of the property for at least three years
- You are on an income-related benefit. This means Income Support, Guarantee Pension Credit, council tax support, housing benefit or Working Tax Credit
All discretionary grants depend on available budgets.
