Farnborough town centre public exhibition

There will be a public exhibition on Tuesday 14 November on plans for Farnborough town centre.

The exhibition is being organised by the owners of The Meads, St Modwen, to hear public views before the company submits a new planning application to the council.

It will set out St Modwen's revised plans to redevelop the land at and beside Debenhams, between Kingsmead and Queensmead.

These proposals are for a mix of uses for shopping, leisure and apartments.

They include:

  • Shops on the ground floor and leisure on the first floor
  • Sixty-eight apartments over eight floors
  • A community garden for the new apartments
  • Fifty-eight car parking spaces and stands for 118 bicycles on the third floor, accessed through the Kingsmead multi-storey car park
  • A bridge link to the previously completed car park on the roof of Block 2 above The Gym

The exhibition takes place from 2pm to 8pm at The Meads business centre in Kingsmead. There will also be the opportunity to talk to representatives from St Modwen and its consultancy team, which includes its architects and planning consultants.

For more details, see the Farnborough town centre consultation website.
