Crime prevention advice available at series of roadshows

A series of pre-Christmas crime prevention roadshows will take place across Rushmoor, Hart and Basingstoke and Deane in the coming weeks.

Staff will offer advice on personal and property safety, as well as tips on preventing crime to cars and outbuildings at the roadshows, called Operation: Stronghold.

Roadshows will be held in Rushmoor between 11 and 1pm on the following dates and locations:

  • December 7 - Wellington Centre, Aldershot

  • December 21 - Princes Mead, Farnborough

The roadshows have been organised by the Safer North Hampshire * Community Safety Partnership, in partnership with Hampshire Constabulary.

Councillor Ken Muschamp, Chairman of the Safer North Hampshire Community Safety Partnership, said: "This is a good opportunity to learn how to protect yourself and your belongings better. We want you all to have a happy, safe and crime-free festive period. We hope as many residents as possible drop by and chat to our crime prevention team, so we can all enjoy the best time possible."

Residents and businesses can find out more, as well as read additional advice, by visiting the Safer North Hampshire website calling 01252 774476 or emailing communitysafetyteam@communitysafetynh.org.
